Pokhara Panchkot 50 K.M. Ultra Trail Race-2026

Organized by: Western Division HQ, Bijayapur & Nepal Ex-Sportsmen Forum, Pokhara

Overview & Concept

The Pokhara Panchkot 50 K.M. Ultra Trail Race-2026 (पोखरा पाँचकोट ५० कि.मी. अल्ट्रा ट्रेल रेस-२०८३) is more than just a running event—it is an extraordinary confluence of nature, culture, history, and adventure tourism.
Starting from the historical Kaskikot Durbar (Kaski District, Pokhara-24)—the ancestral seat of Kulmandai Shah, forefather of King Prithvi Narayan Shah—the trail traverses a region rich in over 500 years of Shah dynasty history. The event connects five historical forts (Panchkot):
  1. Kaskikot
  2. Sarangkot
  3. Jhuprangkot
  4. Armalakot
  5. Kahunkot
Along the route, runners will experience breathtaking views of the Annapurna Mountain Range and Phewa Lake, run through ancient trade routes once used for salt trading toward Lamjung, Manang, and Mustang, and immerse themselves in the rich cultural diversity of local Gurung, Magar, Tamang, Brahmin, Chhetri, Vishwakarma, Pariyar, and Gandharva communities.
